Modest Monday: Car Shopping and Crane Rides :)
I decided to return to my original Modest Monday theme. I will be keeping these posts as short devotionals, tips and tricks about Modesty, or quotes. I think Modesty and the modest outfits are getting lost in the really long posts I have been sharing. Not to worry, I will continue sharing those type of posts. Instead of sharing on Modest Monday, I’ll be sharing on a different day. What do you think? I would love your input. Please feel free to comment!
Now, onto the post……
Car Shopping and Crane Rides
Recently, I bought a new car!!! It is the first new car I have had in a really long time! I was not planning on this purchase, especially after paying off my van last year. My husband’s truck was almost paid off as well with just a handful of payments left. Why the new purchase? Well, life sometimes brings unfortunate events. My husband’s truck somehow had mold all throughout the cab (and it was going to cost us a small fortune to fix) and the van began having major electrical problems (imagine it having problems AFTER it’s paid off!). As I was at the dealership trying to figure out what to do with hubby’s truck, I was offered a spectacular deal on trade ins for both vehicles. I was also offered other rebates and incentives on top of the trade-ins. After discussing this with my husband, we decided to purchase a new vehicle.
Most of you know my husband is overseas and this is not something I normally do without him beside me. Every other major purchase we’ve made has been a team effort and, most importantly, together. So what is a girl to do? FaceTime in the middle of his night of course! LOL I refused to make the decision without him.
Just a couple of days later I was at the dealership. So what did I wear?
This is not the best picture. The sales guy at the dealership took it 🙂
My middle son recently had surgery as well. He was starting to get cabin fever, so we decided to take a ride in the new car to see my Dad at his work site. Here are some pics with the same outfit during that time.
My boys love adventure and my dad owns a crane truck. Since 2+2=4, up the basket they went with mommy. I’m not sure if I was holding them or if they were holding me..LOL! Actually, I grew up doing this SO no worries from me.
Ladies, you can do just about everything in a skirt, including climbing in and out of a crane basket. 🙂
