Modest Monday: Homecomings & Resurrection Day with Dainty Jewells

Modest Monday Dainty Jewells

So Wednesday I shared THIS post and mentioned that I was on my way to go pick up my husband.  Well, I wanted to share pictures of this day with you and also Easter-Resurrection Day. I wore the same dress both days but wore it a different way.  This dress is by Dainty Jewells, those who have been reading my Modest Monday posts for a while will know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dainty Jewells clothing.  Charity, the owner has become a Facebook friend, someday I pray to meet her in real life. She is such an inspiration to me!

When I saw the new Spring line from Dainty Jewells I messaged Charity and asked her if I could possibly review a dress, she said yes! I picked the Laying Dress. You can see it HERE on her website.  This dress was different then what I had seen before and I was so excited to have a dress that could be so versatile! I had envisioned the dress being a thin material—-but those who have bought Dainty Jewells should know that Charity takes modesty to heart, it is very important to her to share good quality modest clothing with her clients.  So when I got the dress not only is it a bit heavier fabric, but it is lined! YAY I didn’t have to wear my own slip. 🙂

Since I live in the South, humidity gets rough here.  The day I picked Clay up it had been a pretty warm day with some humidity—not to bad though yet this time of year. I can tell though that this dress will work GREAT all summer long. I was not one bit hot in the dress. As the temperature dropped when the sun went down this dress worked perfect with my jean jacket!

This dress would be great to wear with white sneakers for a more casual look, flip-flops, sandals, or high heals and dress shoes for a more dressy look. I also think this dress would transition to fall and winter well with boots!!!

For homecoming I wore the dress with the following:

Hair: Lilla Rose

Scarf: Bought at Target

Shoes: Zulily

Jean Jacket: Old Navy on clearance

Just because it is so special—here is a “Welcome Home Video” a random lady at the airport took and later sent to us.  The kids were standing perfectly still UNTIL they saw Daddy. 🙂

Today is the day we celebrate a Risen Savior! We headed out to church and I was so excited to wear my Dainty Jewells Layering Dress again! This time I changed the look just a bit. I LOVE the vest I wore and am trying to find new ways to wear it, I am also having a blast layering this dress different ways.  🙂

Below I share her video. Beautiful song and perfect for today!

Here is what I wore today:

Hair: Lilla Rose headband

Vest: K-Sera  I wore it before HERE

Shoes: Zulily

I kept my outfit very simple today yet I think it pulled together nicely! I love blue and pink together!

So hurry over to Dainty Jewells website and check out her new spring line HERE. Don’t forget the Layering dresses HERE.

Special thanks to Charity for my dress. You are such a sweet Sister in Christ, thank you for making our homecoming special and for making Easter so special too!

In Christ,

Laura
