Modest Monday: Year End Wrap Up
The past couple of weeks have been pretty busy for us. We have attended several Christmas parties, practices for our church Christmas Musical, taking the boys to their Children’s production practices and, not to mention, day-to-life. It seems as our kids get older we have more activities during this time of year. That is why Advent is so important. During the Advent season, it is good to sit with your family, talk about the wonder and awe of Christ’s birth and focus on what that means.
In church the last few Sundays we spoke about baby Jesus – Who He was and what He has done for us. To me, it is just so wonderful to think about Jesus, our Lord and Savior coming to earth, being born in a stable, growing up and sacrificing Himself for me and for you. Sometimes I wonder about Mary….that song Mary did you know makes me tear up.
This whole past year has been amazing. I have seen such growth in myself, my husband and our kids, but also right here. When I started this blog, it really was just a place to ramble thoughts. I had started out on blogger and then my brother (who is my web designer) suggested that I move to WordPress. I didn’t have any idea who would read my blog, but I knew I enjoyed it when I had time to blog. I really felt God laying it on my heart to blog more and speak from my heart on things that were important to me, like modesty. With that I have saw this blog grow from a few friends to where it is now.
I want to thank all of you who take the time to read my blog. I hope that it blesses you and continues to further the kingdom of God.
