Living History With Heirloom Productions: Beric the Briton
Heirloom Audio Productions is a wonderful way to bring history to life with their radio drama adaptation of G.A.Henty’s Beric the Briton. I am excited to share more in my review!
I’m an avid supporter of the Charlotte Mason method of education and one of the tools that I have found that works beautifully with that method are the Heirloom Audio Productions. If interested, I have previously reviewed products from Heirloom HERE and HERE.
I personally believe that Heirloom Audio is so good that it can be enjoyed by all, regardless of age. I have enjoyed listening to them right along with my kids.
I also adore anything from G.A Henty! A few years ago, my wonderful husband blessed me with the ENTIRE set of hardback books. They are one of my prized possessions! My kids and I really love them. When we take those masterfully written books and combine them with the audio production, well, let me just say I am overcome with excitement! G.A Henty was a war correspondent who loved adventure and originally wrote these books for his own children. As soon as you open one of his books, you learn that not only did he love adventure, but he was also blessed with a gift of story telling.

How did we use this product?
This summer has been a bit different for us. I have changed up our normal year-round homeschooling adventures. This review came at a perfect time as we had a jam packed schedule of events coming at us. I pride myself in finding ways to learn and teach when I don’t think I can. So for us, that means in the car while driving! LOL! Hey, it totally works and it keeps the kids entertained!
We really loved the story of Beric the Briton. The storyline was full of battle, forgiveness, adventure, love, loyalty, and mercy! These stories are truly engaging as not only a living book, but also a living audio production. Each story takes us on wonderful adventures while sharing the love of God with us. Each one of G.A Henty’s stories takes a person from history with a strong love of Christ and teaches us about Him. Heirloom kicks it up a notch by really making the story even more fascinating! One thing my kids truly enjoy about this company is the top notch cast they use for their audio productions; especially if a voice from Star Wars is involved! 🙂
