Modest Monday……Obeying Jesus with Baptism
Obeying Jesus with Baptism
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38
Today my middle son, Turtle Boy, followed the Biblical plan and was Baptized. For this particular child, his love for Christ is easy but the Baptism was hard. When he was small he almost drowned, so he has a fear of water that is very deep. This child is content in a baby pool, but not in a large pool. We had spoke to him about what to expect, but when he got in the water, while he remained calm….you could tell he was uneasy. Thankfully, our Pastor – a man who has raised 3 children – is pretty patient. :). He talked to Xander and let Xander know he was safe. Finally, Xander was ready….well mostly! HA!
Can you see he is nervous? 🙂
But he did it. He was brave and strong, because he wanted to show the church and the world how much he loves Jesus. Did I mention he is only 6? 🙂
After the Baptism we had some family pictures made since my parents are here. Here are some of them…
What I wore today:
Flexi Clip: Lilla Rose
Dress: Dainty Jewells sweater dress
Tights: I honestly have no idea! They are actually sweater material that I found somewhere after I first started losing weight.
Boots: Bear Claw
Make-Up: Mary Kay
LOL isn’t he cute? 🙂
