Tasty Tuesdays….a few of my favorite things

I thought I would share a few pictures of my favorite things around my house :).

My Bible of course!

My apron! I love this apron the best of all that I have. Canning, cooking, or working around the house, it is so comfortable and covers well!

Embroidered Pillowcases from when I was a little girl 🙂 Did you know that it should look the same way on the back side as the design does on the front?

My favorite quilt. Again from my childhood. This quilt was made from my cousins sheet she died under.  Some would think this is strange but she was like an Aunt to me, I loved her so much I felt incredibly blessed to be given such a gift.

The lamp on the left is mine from when I was growing up. Its my favorite lantern.  The one on the right and the turn table, I bought when I was in Holmes County when I was back east this summer.

Every now and again I will share more of my favorite things:).  I know we are not to get hung up on material things but as homemakers its nice to try and make our home a refuge.  I like seeing what others love to use to make that happen. Some of what I shared are just sentimental.  I am blessed to come from a family full of talented Aunts and a Grandma and Mother who took the time to teach me to sew, cook, can, and take care of my family.
