Ingredients:
All you need are the simple ingredients listed below to get started. This cookie recipe is fast and simple to make!
- Butter – I used unsalted butter.
- Gluten-free all-purpose flour – Choose your favorite blend.
- Pyure – Perfect to use instead of sugar!
- Egg – Large eggs work great for baking.
- Vanilla extract – Pure vanilla extract adds a yummy taste.
- Salt – Omit adding this if you use salted butter.
- Baking powder – Adds texture.
- Whiskey – Choose your favorite whiskey!
- Dried cranberries – Make sure that they don’t have any added sugar. We dehydrate our own, but you can also buy them at the store.
- Sugar-free white chocolate chips – Use your favorite brand!
How to make this Boozy Cookie Recipe
Heat the whiskey in the microwave for 1 minute. Then add the cranberries to the whiskey. Mix and set aside to cool and soak for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, Pyure, vanilla, salt, and baking powder. Then add the egg and mix in.
Mix the flour into the cookie dough, a little at a time until it is all mixed in. Then fold the cranberries, whiskey, and white chocolate chips into the dough.
Cover the cookie dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
When the cookies are done chilling, preheat the oven to 350F. Scoop the cookies into 24 balls and place them on a lined cookie sheet. Place 6-12 cookies on each sheet depending on the size of the cookies.
Bake cookies in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the pan for 5 minutes before removing them from the pan.
Serve warm or let cookies finish cooling on a wire baking rack.
Variations
Use a different type of alcohol – Whiskey might be what is used most often, but you can also use rum. I’ve never used any other types of alcohol in this particular cookie, but I’ll be experimenting soon.
Change the chocolate chips – As long as you use sugar-free, you can use dark chocolate or semi-chocolate chips.
Add nuts – The crunchier, the better! Pecans, walnuts, macadamia nuts, you name it!
How do you know when cookies are done baking?
The main way to tell that cookies are done baking is to look at the edge and the middle of the cookie. The edges should be golden-brown, and the middle of the cookie shouldn’t have any shine to it.
You can also use your thumb and press down on the center of the cookie. It shouldn’t be mushy.
How do I store baked cookies?
Once these cookies are baked all the way and cooled down, they can then be added to an airtight container and stored in the fridge. If you’re not expecting the cookies to last very long, store them at room temperature on the counter.
If you prefer for your cookies to be warm, you can also reheat them in the microwave for a short amount of time. At least 10 seconds should do the trick to warm up cooled cookies.
How do I keep cookies from getting stale?
One of the best tips for keeping the baked cookies soft is to put a piece of bread in the container or plastic bag that you’re storing them in.
The bread will absorb any moisture that might be released, making sure that the cookies remain fresh and soft.
What is the best way to freeze cookies?
If you want to freeze freshly baked cookies, this is a great way to save some for later. I like to do this for portion control and it really helps.
All you need to do is add the cooled cookies to a freezer-safe bag or container and place them in the freezer.
I even like to store them in serving sizes. Instead of unthawing all of them at once, I can unthaw exactly what I’m going to eat.
To thaw and enjoy, just move the bag to the fridge and wait for them to thaw. You can also eat them frozen, too!
I can’t wait to hear what you think about this boozy cookie recipe! It’s a fun flavor – and a totally unique idea and dessert!

Notes
Use baking powder not baking soda for these cookies. The whiskey makes the cookies spread more than usual while baking. Using baking powder instead of baking soda keeps the cookies from overspreading.
